The Reepham Summer Sunday Run 2008 takes place at 10am on 17th August. The course distance is 10km.
Event History
The first Reepham Summer Sunday Run took place in 2005. Our aim was to
provide a relaxed and enjoyable event, suitable for novices and for
competitive club runners alike, showing-off the pleasant countryside
scenery in our part of Norfolk. In 2006 the course was slightly extended
- to 9 miles - so that runners could finish at the Race HQ on Stimpson's
Piece. In 2007 we introduced an entirely new, 10 kilometre route, again
with the finish at the Race HQ.
In 2008 we will once again use the 10km course introduced in 2007; the course is officially measured and the race will be run to ARC rules and standards.
Course Details
The 10km route is multi-terrain:
just over half is on country roads (which are fairly flat) and the remainder is on a disused railway track, with short
sections on connecting paths and across the playing fields at Stimpson's
Piece. All of the terrain is easy and, in August, generally dry. A
map is available here.
Entry Details
Entry is by post, using either of the forms below, or (for a small extra fee) online via Runners' World. Entries on the day will also be accepted at the Race HQ up to 45 minutes before the race starts, unless the race is full. Postal entry costs £8 (£6 for UKA or ARC affiliated runners). Entry on the day costs £2 extra.
