Summer 10k

 Reepham Summer 10km

Now in its 15th year the Reepham Runners summer 10km race will take place on Friday 9th August 2019. The course is set across multiple terrain, taking in the quiet country lanes around Reepham and then on to the trails of the Marriotts Way.

This is a friendly local event and is popular amongst runners but also attracts people who want to experience multi terrain for the first time or who just fancy a nice evening run with like minded people.

The PDF document at the bottom of this page contains all the information you’ll need for the day. If you’re not familiar with Reepham then the fololowing postcode will get you to the right place NR10 4LL. On arrival into Reepham please follow the road signs for car parking. The signs will direct you to Kerdiston Road where you will be directed to the car park.

Due to popularity of the event we have moved the car parking this year to open fields just past the railway bridge, and not the Scout Hut as previous. If you have entered the Reepham 10k before the new parking is approximately 400 metres past the previous location – down the hill from the official race start.

Once parked make your way to Stimpsons Piece Recreational Ground (approximately 5 minute walk) to collect your race number. Changing rooms and toilet facilities are available at Stimpsons Piece.

After the race we have tea/coffee and cakes, so please feel free to bring friends and family along to enjoy the atmosphere.

About the Race
Our aim was to provide a relaxed and enjoyable event, suitable for novices and for competitive club runners alike, showing-off the pleasant countryside scenery in our part of Norfolk. In the years since we have refined the route to a 10km circuit that is very convenient both for runners and supporters: the finish line is on Stimpson's Piece, right outside our Race HQ, with refreshments, changing and showers. The course is officially measured and the race run to ARC rules and standards. The event remains highly suitable both for the best club athletes and for the many new runners who enter each year aiming only to reach the finish.
