It was a cloudy dark Sunday morning for the first day of the new summer time. Everyone was hoping the rain would hold off until after the race started, but no such luck. Dominic was keen to run the course in 33 minutes. Liz, Richard, and Craig ran all the way to the race, so had a good warm up. Jenni & Mavis stayed inside as long as possible – mainly queuing for the toilets – to keep warm! Nick was oblivious to the weather so ran around warming up. The race was started by Becky Durrant, thankfully after a short speech reminding us of the normal rules, on time. By now the rain was getting harder so we were all pleased to be underway The course was fairly flat and two laps. After a while you didn’t notice how wet you got as it wasn’t cold and splashing through the puddles was fun. Reepham did really well – a first with Dominic, Alison winning her age category and Mal winning his age category if he had been a lady (he was so disappointed he had to give the trophy back – better luck next time Mal!) Overall a well organised race with excellent free refreshments – a huge selection of cakes – made all the running in the rain worth it! Thank you to the Jags for another excellent event. Full Results
