Not such a sunny day for the last in the series of three. However, it was dry - in the air anyway, if not under foot, or in stream. A good turn out with the event being well supported, as ever, by the Reepham Runners and friends, who marshalled to make this event possible - so a big Thank You to all of them. The route had been changed to add a slight detour as Nick, the Race Organiser, didn't believe it would be quite muddy enough, so an extra field was added. We had a different field finish than the last two races for the men. First was Andrew Mulligan, Coltishall Jag, in a time of 44:10, second was Edward Foster with a time of 44:49 and third was Jason Mountain, Wymondham in a time of 45:01. For the ladies we had Ellie Bye, Coltishall Jags, who has been placed in all three races - third in the first race and first in the last two - in a time of 50:09. Second was Rowena Leary, Norfolk Gazelles, in a time of 53:26 and third was Kate Scotter, Tri-Anglia, in a time of 53:53, who also came third in the second race. For the alternative prizes we did 7th Man, who was Shaun Webb, Reepham Runners in 48:31 and 7th Woman, who was Angie Bear, Wymondham, in 1:01:50. We also did 15th Man who was Ben Gaskins, Tri-Anglia in 53:02 and 12th Woman who was Martha Davies, in her first ever race, in 1:13:21. Last but definitely not least was Dan Edge in time of 1:17:55. Baz Hipwell had competition this event for the muddiest, as you can see from the picture above, Ivan Colman made a very good effort, so we had to do a joint prize. The first dog was owned by Dean Blake in a time of 53:53. For photos - click here |
